Responsibilities
- Anticipate global technology and societal shifts through horizon scanning and trend analysis
- Design and execute multi-year innovation roadmaps aligned with 2026 strategic objectives
- Lead cross-functional 'Future Labs' to prototype disruptive solutions (AI, quantum computing, biotech)
- Deliver executive briefings and publish white papers on emerging paradigm shifts
- Mentor junior futurists and build an internal innovation scouting network
- Secure $5M+ annual R&D budget through compelling ROI projections
- Partner with product teams to integrate future insights into commercial roadmaps
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic foresight, innovation management, or emerging tech research
- Proven track record of translating trend analysis into commercialized innovations
- Expertise in at least three future-critical domains (AI ethics, quantum computing, climate tech)
- Published thought leadership in top-tier industry journals or conferences
- Experience leading teams of 15+ professionals across multiple disciplines
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Systems Engineering, or relevant field
- Portfolio showcasing 3+ implemented innovations with measurable market impact
