Job Description
We are pioneering the technology landscape of 2026 and beyond. Nexus Future Labs is seeking a highly skilled Quantum Research Engineer to architect the next generation of stable qubit systems. In this pivotal role, you will bridge the gap between theoretical physics and practical engineering to solve complex computational problems that are currently unsolvable.
As we accelerate towards the 2026 industrialization of quantum computing, we need a visionary leader who can navigate the complexities of superconducting circuits and error correction protocols. If you are driven by the challenge of the unknown and want to define the standard for computing in the next decade, this is your opportunity.
Why Join Us?
• Work with state-of-the-art cryogenic hardware.
• Competitive equity package and salary for top-tier talent.
• Remote-first culture with quarterly global meetups in 2026.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable quantum algorithms tailored for the 2026 hardware landscape.
- Collaborate with physicists to optimize qubit coherence times and reduce error rates.
- Develop error mitigation strategies for NISQ (Noisy Intermediate-Scale Quantum) devices.
- Lead the integration of quantum modules into our cloud computing infrastructure.
- Conduct rigorous testing of quantum circuits under varying environmental conditions.
- Document architectural decisions and provide technical mentorship to junior engineers.
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in quantum computing, superconducting qubits, or photonics.
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, or PyQuil).
- Deep understanding of linear algebra, probability theory, and quantum mechanics.
- Experience with large-scale distributed systems and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, research-driven environment.
