Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Lead cross-functional teams in developing error-corrected quantum processors with >1000 qubits
- Collaborate with pharmaceutical partners to accelerate drug discovery using quantum simulations
- Pioneer quantum-safe cryptographic protocols for post-2026 cybersecurity infrastructure
- Publish breakthrough research in Nature/Science and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Secure $5M+ in government grants for quantum computing initiatives
- Mentor PhD researchers in quantum information theory and experimental physics
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science from top-tier institution
- 5+ years experience with quantum circuit design and quantum error correction
- Published research in quantum algorithms or quantum hardware architecture
- Expertise in Python/C++ with quantum computing frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq)
- Proven track record of securing government or corporate research funding
- Deep understanding of quantum supremacy benchmarks and NISQ limitations
- Experience with cryogenic quantum systems and superconducting qubits
