Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for 2026-era hardware capabilities
- Lead cross-functional research teams in quantum error correction and fault tolerance
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical computing frameworks for commercial applications
- Publish breakthrough research in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, etc.)
- Secure $1M+ in government grants for quantum computing initiatives
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information science
- Collaborate with Intel, IBM, and Google on quantum hardware integration
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development experience
- Published research in quantum error correction or topological qubits
- Proficiency in Q#, Qiskit, or quantum circuit simulation frameworks
- Strong background in linear algebra, quantum mechanics, and complexity theory
- Experience with high-performance computing environments
- Demonstrated ability to secure research funding
- Patent portfolio in quantum technologies preferred
