We're seeking a visionary Quantum Computing Research Scientist to develop next-generation algorithms and solve previously unsolvable computational challenges. You'll collaborate with Nobel Prize-winning physicists and Silicon Valley's brightest engineers in our state-of-the-art downtown San Francisco facility.
What You'll Achieve:
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms with real-world impact
- Lead breakthrough research in quantum error correction and decoherence mitigation

- Secure patents and publish in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, etc.)
Responsibilities
- Develop quantum algorithms for cryptography, optimization, and machine learning applications
- Simulate quantum systems using advanced numerical methods (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design quantum processors
- Lead cross-functional projects with AI/ML and cybersecurity divisions
- Mentor junior researchers and publish 2+ high-impact papers annually
- Secure $5M+ in government and industry research grants
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent research experience)
- 3+ years hands-on quantum computing experience with superconducting/qubit systems
- Expertise in quantum algorithms and complexity theory
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and quantum simulation frameworks
- Publication record in peer-reviewed quantum computing research
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability, and information theory
- Experience with quantum hardware calibration and error mitigation
