Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization problems
- Develop error correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Lead cross-functional prototyping teams building quantum processors
- Publish high-impact research in Nature/Science journals
- Secure $5M+ in DOE/NIST grants for quantum initiatives
- Mentor postdoctoral researchers in quantum information theory
- Advise C-suite on quantum strategy for enterprise adoption
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field (postdoc preferred)
- 5+ years of hands-on quantum computing research experience
- Published work in top-tier quantum computing conferences
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or equivalent quantum frameworks
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault tolerance
- Strong background in linear algebra and quantum mechanics
- Proven ability to secure federal research funding
- Experience with cryogenic quantum systems
