Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for commercial applications
- Lead cross-functional R&D projects with AI and materials science teams
- Publish peer-reviewed research in Nature/Science journals
- Optimize quantum error correction protocols for industrial deployment
- Develop quantum machine learning frameworks for predictive analytics
- Mentor junior researchers and secure government/industry grants
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum hardware (IBM Rigetti, D-Wave)
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq)
- Published research in quantum computing or theoretical physics
- Strong background in linear algebra and complex systems
- Proficiency with high-performance computing environments
- Experience securing NSF/DARPA research funding preferred
