Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for cryptography, optimization, and simulation
- Lead quantum hardware-software integration projects with IBM, Google, and Microsoft partners
- Publish breakthrough research in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Mentor PhD researchers and supervise quantum computing internship program
- Develop patentable quantum error correction techniques for fault-tolerant systems
- Collaborate with AI teams on quantum machine learning frameworks
- Secure $2M+ annual research grants from NSF and DARPA
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Published research in top-tier quantum computing journals/conferences
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability theory, and complexity theory
- Experience with superconducting or trapped-ion quantum processors
- Track record of securing government/industry research funding
- Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical stakeholders
