Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for real-world applications
- Lead a multidisciplinary team of physicists and software engineers
- Develop error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Collaborate with Fortune 500 partners on quantum use-case implementation
- Publish findings in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE conferences
- Secure $2M+ in annual research grants from DARPA and NSF
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 5+ years experience with quantum programming (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Published research in top-tier quantum computing journals
- Expertise in quantum error correction and decoherence mitigation
- Strong background in linear algebra and quantum information theory
- Proven track record of leading R&D teams in high-stakes environments
- Clearance for DoD quantum projects (or ability to obtain)
