About The Role:
As a Server at The Rittenhouse Table, you are the face of our brand. You will be responsible for delivering a flawless dining experience, guiding guests through our seasonal menus, and ensuring that every detail of their visit exceeds expectations. We are looking for someone who not only knows their wine and craft cocktails but also knows how to make guests feel like family.
Responsibilities
- Guest Relations: Greet and seat guests warmly, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere upon arrival and departure.
- Order Accuracy: Take detailed food and beverage orders, relay them accurately to the kitchen, and present orders to guests with professionalism.
- Upselling: Suggest appetizers, desserts, and specialty drinks to enhance the guest experience and increase revenue.
- Service Standards: Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization in the dining room, including polishing glassware and setting tables efficiently.
- Problem Resolution: Handle guest inquiries and complaints with grace, resolving issues immediately to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with bartenders, cooks, and fellow servers to ensure seamless service flow.
- POS Management: Proficiently operate the Point of Sale (POS) system for ordering, billing, and managing guest checks.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of professional serving experience in a high-volume restaurant.
- Availability: Flexible availability, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
- Communication: Excellent verbal communication skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods and lift trays up to 25 lbs comfortably.
- Knowledge: Basic knowledge of wine, beer, and food pairings is a plus but not required.
- Legal: Must be of legal working age and able to pass a background check and alcohol awareness certification.
- Attitude: A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a genuine desire to serve others.
