Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a wide variety of hot and cold beverages, including espresso drinks, pour-overs, and iced teas, following strict quality and recipe standards.
- Greet customers warmly, take orders accurately, and provide exceptional customer service to ensure a positive in-store experience.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including the coffee bar, seating area, and restrooms, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
- Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems efficiently, processing transactions and handling cash or card payments with accuracy.
- Perform opening and closing duties, such as restocking supplies, cleaning equipment, and preparing the coffee station for the next shift.
- Assist with food preparation and plating, ensuring presentation meets our high aesthetic standards.
- Engage with the local community by building relationships with regular customers and promoting our loyalty programs.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Barista or in the food and beverage industry is preferred but not required.
- Strong knowledge of coffee brewing techniques, espresso machines, and latte art is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a fast-paced team environment.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs during busy rushes.
- A positive attitude, a passion for coffee, and a commitment to customer satisfaction.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential.
- Must be at least 16 years of age.
