Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and escort them to their tables, ensuring a welcoming and professional atmosphere.
- Present menus, answer detailed questions about menu items, and make informed recommendations based on guest preferences.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using the POS system and relay them accurately to the kitchen and bar.
- Check on guests periodically to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns or special requests immediately.
- Prepare and serve food and drinks according to established safety and presentation standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including tables, service stations, and restrooms.
- Collaborate with the kitchen and bar staff to ensure seamless service flow.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a server in a fine-dining or high-volume restaurant is preferred but not required for the right candidate.
- Excellent verbal communication skills and a friendly, outgoing personality.
- Strong knowledge of food and wine pairings is a plus.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, as well as lift trays weighing up to 25 lbs.
- Must be at least 18 years of age and possess a valid food handler's card.
- Reliable transportation to and from work.
