Responsibilities
- Assist physicians with patient examinations, treatments, and minor procedures during overnight shifts
- Accurately document patient medical histories, vitals, and treatment plans in EHR systems
- Prepare exam rooms, sterilize equipment, and maintain inventory of medical supplies
- Administer medications and injections per physician orders with precision
- Perform point-of-care testing and phlebotomy services as needed
- Coordinate patient flow and triage urgent overnight cases efficiently
- Collaborate with nursing staff to ensure seamless continuity of care
Qualifications
- Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA or RMA) required
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in ambulatory or urgent care setting
- Strong proficiency with EHR systems (Epic or Cerner preferred)
- Ability to work independently during overnight hours with minimal supervision
- Valid BLS/CPR certification and Georgia medical assistant license
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in documentation
- Compassionate communication style with diverse patient populations
- Flexible availability to cover rotating weekend shifts as needed
