Job Summary:
The Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for our patients, representing our brand with warmth and professionalism. You will be responsible for managing the front desk operations, ensuring patient satisfaction, and coordinating daily administrative tasks.
Responsibilities
- Greet and Welcome Guests: Provide a warm, professional greeting to all patients and visitors as they arrive at the facility.
- Manage Communications: Answer incoming calls with a polite and helpful tone, screen inquiries, and transfer calls appropriately.
- Scheduling: Schedule patient appointments via phone and in-person, ensuring the calendar is organized and up-to-date.
- Administrative Support: Process new patient registrations, update medical records, and manage incoming mail.
- Check-In/Out: Verify patient insurance information, collect copays, and guide patients to the exam room efficiently.
- Inventory Management: Maintain office supplies and front-desk inventory, ordering needed items as required.
- Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with dental providers and front desk staff to ensure seamless patient flow.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a front desk or reception role, preferably in a medical or dental office.
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; post-secondary education in office administration is a plus.
- Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and dental practice management software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft) is highly desirable.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a strong focus on customer service.
- Organization: Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Availability: Ability to work part-time hours, including some weekends or evenings as needed.
