Responsibilities
- Monitor patient vital signs and document changes accurately in electronic health records
- Assist patients with daily activities including mobility, bathing, and meal preparation
- Respond promptly to patient call lights and address immediate care needs
- Collaborate with nursing staff to implement care plans and report concerns
- Maintain sterile environments and assist with medical procedures as directed
- Provide emotional support to patients and families during overnight hours
- Ensure equipment functionality and safety compliance throughout your shift
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent with current CPR certification
- Minimum 6 months experience in healthcare or patient care setting
- Ability to stand/walk 8+ hours and lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Strong communication skills and ability to remain calm under pressure
- Flexibility to work weekends and overnight shifts (11 PM - 7 AM)
- Basic computer proficiency for medical documentation systems
- Valid Texas CNA certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
