Responsibilities
- Manage patient admissions, discharges, and transfers during overnight hours
- Coordinate with on-call physicians and nursing staff for urgent patient needs
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) and documentation
- Oversee medication reconciliation and inventory management
- Respond to patient inquiries and family communications professionally
- Assist with emergency protocols and crisis intervention when necessary
- Prepare shift reports and handover documentation for day staff
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; medical assistant certification preferred
- Minimum 1 year healthcare or clinical support experience
- Proficiency in electronic health record systems (Epic preferred)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to remain calm under pressure during emergency situations
- Basic knowledge of HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality
- Valid CPR certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days
- Flexible availability including weekends and holidays
