Responsibilities
- Conduct horizon-scanning research to identify and validate emerging technologies with 2026+ market potential
- Develop and maintain multi-year technology roadmaps aligned with business objectives
- Lead cross-functional teams (engineers, designers, product managers) to prototype future solutions
- Present strategic technology visions to executive stakeholders and external partners
- Establish partnerships with research institutions, startups, and industry disruptors
- Quantify ROI and market impact of futuristic technology investments
- Create thought leadership content (whitepapers, keynotes) to position Horizon as a future-tech authority
Qualifications
- 8+ years in technology strategy, innovation consulting, or R&D leadership
- Proven track record of predicting and implementing emerging technologies
- Expertise in at least two of: AI/ML, quantum computing, biotech, AR/VR, or decentralized systems
- Exceptional analytical skills with ability to synthesize complex data into actionable strategies
- Experience presenting to C-suite executives and external investors
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Futures Studies, or related field
- Published thought leadership in technology or innovation journals
- Portfolio demonstrating successful tech foresight projects
