Responsibilities
- Develop and implement 3-5 year innovation roadmaps aligning with 2026 technological convergence points
- Lead cross-functional 'Future Scenarios' workshops with C-suite executives and external thought leaders
- Identify and evaluate emerging technologies (quantum, synthetic biology, AGI) for commercial viability
- Author white papers and trend reports influencing industry standards and policy frameworks
- Manage a $5M+ innovation portfolio with rigorous ROI and risk assessment protocols
- Mentor next-generation futurists and build strategic partnerships with MIT Media Lab, Singularity University, and NASA
Qualifications
- Minimum 8 years in strategic innovation, R&D leadership, or futurist consulting
- Proven track record of commercializing emerging technologies (portfolio required)
- Deep expertise in at least two of: quantum computing, neurotech, climate tech, or decentralized systems
- Published thought leadership in peer-reviewed journals or industry publications
- Advanced degree in Technology, Engineering, Futures Studies, or equivalent experience
- Fluency in scenario planning methodologies (e.g., Delphi, STEEP analysis)
- Experience securing multi-million dollar innovation grants from NSF, DARPA, or equivalent bodies
