Responsibilities
- Greet and seat guests with a welcoming demeanor, ensuring a warm and professional introduction to The Parkside experience.
- Present menus and provide detailed descriptions of our culinary offerings and signature cocktails to guide guest choices.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using our POS system and relay them efficiently to the kitchen.
- Deliver food and drinks with precision, ensuring proper presentation and temperature standards are met.
- Anticipate guest needs throughout the meal, refilling water glasses and checking on satisfaction levels proactively.
- Process payments accurately and securely, while maintaining a clean and organized station.
- Collaborate with the kitchen and bar staff to ensure seamless service and resolve any guest concerns immediately.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a fine dining or upscale restaurant setting is preferred but not mandatory for enthusiastic candidates.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to engage in conversation with guests while managing multiple tables.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods while maintaining high energy and a positive attitude.
- Familiarity with Point of Sale (POS) systems (e.g., Micros, Toast, or equivalent) is a plus.
- Must be available to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as required by business volume.
- Certified Food Handler card or willingness to obtain one upon hire.
