What You'll Do
As a Server at The Portland Bistro, you will be the face of our brand. You are responsible for ensuring every guest feels welcomed, informed, and satisfied from the moment they arrive until they leave.
Responsibilities
- Greets guests warmly and escorts them to their tables with a smile.
- Present menus and answer questions about ingredients, preparation, and specials.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders and relay them to the kitchen staff.
- Serve food and drinks with precision and speed, ensuring proper plating.
- Clean and reset tables efficiently to maintain a pristine dining room.
- Process payments accurately and handle cash and credit transactions.
- Upsell specials and beverages to enhance the guest experience and maximize revenue.
Qualifications
- Previous restaurant or hospitality experience is preferred but not required.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Alcohol awareness certification (SOPA) is a plus.
- Reliable transportation to and from work.
