Responsibilities
- Greet and seat guests warmly upon arrival, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere from the moment they step through the door.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using the POS system and relay them promptly to the culinary team.
- Provide detailed knowledge of our menu, ingredients, preparation methods, and wine pairings to enhance the guest experience.
- Upsell specials and premium items to drive revenue while maintaining a high level of guest satisfaction.
- Process payments accurately and efficiently, ensuring all checks are settled correctly.
- Monitor dining areas to ensure cleanliness and organization, restocking supplies as needed.
- Collaborate with management and fellow staff to ensure seamless service during peak hours.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a fine dining or high-volume restaurant setting is preferred but not required for enthusiastic applicants.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage with diverse groups of people.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods while maintaining a professional demeanor.
- Proficiency with computerized POS systems (e.g., Micros, Toast, Oracle).
- Knowledge of proper alcohol service laws and responsible handling of alcohol.
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and varying shifts based on business volume.
