Role Overview:
You will be responsible for the planning, execution, and closing of complex technology projects that ensure the 2026 World Cup is a landmark digital success. You will bridge the gap between technical teams and executive stakeholders, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.
Responsibilities
- Project Lifecycle Management: Lead all phases of project management (Initiating, Planning, Executing, Monitoring, and Closing) for venue technology deployments.
- Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for executives, vendors, and operational teams, ensuring clear and concise communication of project status and risks.
- Tech Integration: Oversee the integration of IoT devices, high-speed Wi-Fi, and data analytics platforms across multiple host cities.
- Vendor Relations: Manage relationships with third-party technology providers, negotiating contracts and ensuring deliverable quality.
- Risk Mitigation: Identify potential technical and logistical risks early and implement mitigation strategies to ensure business continuity.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 8 years in project management within large-scale events, sports infrastructure, or major technology deployments.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, or Engineering required; Master’s degree preferred.
- Certifications: PMP, PRINCE2, or similar certification is highly desirable.
- Technical Acumen: Strong understanding of network infrastructure, cloud computing, and smart venue technologies.
- Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams in high-pressure environments.
