Responsibilities
- Lead horizon-scanning initiatives to identify emerging technologies with disruptive potential (2026-2030 timeframe)
- Develop and execute innovation roadmaps for AI, quantum computing, and biotech convergence
- Champion "future-backward" product design thinking across 12 cross-functional pods
- Present strategic foresight findings to C-suite executives and Fortune 500 partners
- Build and mentor a global network of futurist researchers and industry disruptors
- Prototype and validate breakthrough concepts in our state-of-the-art Innovation Lab
- Author forward-looking whitepapers for publication in MIT Tech Review and Wired
Qualifications
- 10+ years in innovation strategy, R&D leadership, or futurist consulting
- Advanced degree in Systems Thinking, Futures Studies, or equivalent technical field
- Proven track record of commercializing emerging technologies (3+ launches)
- Deep expertise in at least two of: AGI ethics, quantum machine learning, synthetic biology, or neurotech
- Exceptional storytelling ability to translate complex futures into actionable business strategies
- Experience with scenario planning tools (e.g., Delphi method, causal layered analysis)
- Portfolio demonstrating published foresight work or patented innovations
- Fluency in foresight methodologies (e.g., STEEP-V, weak signal detection)
