Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning applications
- Develop error-correction frameworks to achieve fault-tolerant quantum computing
- Lead hybrid quantum-classical system integration for enterprise solutions
- Collaborate with hardware teams to optimize quantum gate operations and qubit stability
- Publish breakthrough research in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Secure $2M+ in DARPA/NASA grants for quantum computing initiatives
- Mentor PhD researchers and patent at least 3 quantum computing innovations annually
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (postdoc preferred)
- 5+ years of quantum algorithm development experience with IBM/Qiskit or Google Cirq
- Published research in quantum error correction or topological qubits
- Proficiency in quantum circuit optimization and fault-tolerance protocols
- Experience securing federal grants (DARPA, NSF, DOE) for quantum research
- Demonstrated ability to translate theoretical concepts into practical implementations
- Strong background in machine learning frameworks (PyTorch/TensorFlow) for quantum applications
