Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for practical applications in finance, logistics, and healthcare
- Collaborate with hardware teams to optimize qubit stability and error correction protocols
- Lead research initiatives in quantum machine learning and neural network acceleration
- Publish findings in leading journals and present at international conferences
- Develop quantum-resistant encryption frameworks for post-quantum security
- Mentor junior researchers and establish cross-functional innovation pipelines
- Secure competitive research funding through NSF and DARPA proposals
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years research experience
- Expertise in quantum circuit design and quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq)
- Publication record in Nature/Science or equivalent tier journals
- Deep understanding of quantum decoherence mitigation techniques
- Proven ability to translate theoretical concepts into experimental implementations
- Familiarity with cryogenic systems and superconducting qubit architectures
- Experience securing government research grants ($500K+ projects preferred)
