Responsibilities
- Design and execute quantum algorithms for real-world applications
- Lead breakthrough research in error correction and decoherence mitigation
- Publish findings in Nature/Science journals and present at conferences
- Mentor PhD candidates and junior researchers
- Collaborate with hardware teams to optimize quantum system architectures
- Secure $2M+ in annual research grants
- Drive open-source quantum software initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years hands-on quantum computing research experience
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or quantum assembly languages
- Published work in peer-reviewed quantum computing journals
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault tolerance
- Strong background in linear algebra and complex analysis
- Experience with superconducting or ion-trap quantum systems
- Track record of securing competitive research funding
