Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for industrial-scale optimization problems
- Lead experimental validation of quantum advantage in machine learning applications
- Develop error mitigation strategies for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to co-design quantum-classical hybrid architectures
- Publish peer-reviewed research in Nature/Science journals and present at QIP conferences
- Secure $1M+ in DARPA/NSF quantum computing grants
- Mentor PhD researchers in quantum information theory
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum programming (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Published research in quantum error correction or topological qubits
- Expertise in quantum simulation frameworks (Quil, QASM)
- Proficiency in high-performance computing and parallel processing
- Strong background in linear algebra and group theory
- Experience with quantum hardware calibration protocols
- Demonstrated ability to secure federal research funding
