Responsibilities
- Design and execute quantum computing experiments on superconducting qubit platforms
- Develop novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Collaborate with hardware engineering teams to co-design quantum processors
- Publish peer-reviewed research in top-tier journals and conferences
- Lead cross-functional projects with AI and materials science teams
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to quantum education initiatives
- Secure external research funding through government and industry grants
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in quantum computing research or industry applications
- Expertise in quantum algorithm design (e.g., Shor's, Grover's, VQE)
- Proficiency in quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Strong background in quantum error correction and fault tolerance
- Demonstrated ability to publish high-impact research papers
- Experience with superconducting qubit systems or trapped-ion platforms
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
