Responsibilities
- Lead quantum algorithm development for practical applications by 2026
- Design and execute experiments on trapped-ion quantum processors
- Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate quantum solutions
- Secure patents and publish in Nature/Science journals
- Mentor a team of 5-7 quantum researchers
- Develop quantum error correction methodologies
- Partner with government agencies on quantum security initiatives
- Present findings at major conferences including Q2B and IEEE Quantum Week
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science
- 3+ years experience with quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit)
- Published research in top-tier quantum journals (PRL, Quantum)
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault tolerance
- Strong background in linear algebra and quantum information theory
- Experience with quantum hardware platforms (IBM, Rigetti, IonQ)
- Proven ability to secure research funding ($1M+)
- Clearance for government quantum projects preferred
