Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and manage seating arrangements efficiently to minimize wait times.
- Present menus, answer detailed questions about ingredients and preparation, and provide food and wine recommendations.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders and relay them to the kitchen and bar staff promptly.
- Serve meals with precision, ensuring temperature and presentation standards are met.
- Handle all payments, process credit cards accurately, and make change.
- Maintain cleanliness of the dining room and service stations throughout the shift.
- Build rapport with regular guests and create a welcoming atmosphere.
Qualifications
- Previous restaurant or hospitality experience is preferred but not required.
- Strong knowledge of food and wine pairings is a significant plus.
- Excellent verbal communication skills and a friendly demeanor.
- Ability to stand, walk, and move quickly for long periods of time.
- Must be able to obtain a food handler's card and alcohol awareness certification.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Reliable attendance and a positive team attitude.
