Responsibilities
- Greet and seat guests warmly, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere from the moment they arrive.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders and relay them to the kitchen and bar staff.
- Deliver orders promptly and ensure all items are presented according to our high standards.
- Engage with guests to answer questions about menu items and suggest upsells to enhance their dining experience.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including clearing tables and resetting them for the next service.
- Handle cash transactions and process payments accurately using the Point of Sale (POS) system.
- Collaborate with the service team to ensure seamless service during busy shifts.
Qualifications
- Previous server experience in a full-service restaurant is preferred but not required.
- Strong knowledge of food and beverage menus and wine pairings is a plus.
- Familiarity with POS systems (e.g., Micros, Toast, Square) is an asset.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a friendly demeanor.
- Ability to stand and move around the restaurant for extended periods.
- Must be available to work weekends, holidays, and evenings as required.
- Valid food handler's or alcohol awareness certification where applicable.
