Responsibilities
- Greet and seat guests with warmth and professionalism, ensuring an immediate and welcoming first impression.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using our Point of Sale (POS) system and relay them efficiently to the kitchen.
- Provide knowledgeable recommendations on menu items, wine pairings, and specials to enhance the guest experience.
- Upsell products and services to maximize guest satisfaction and revenue goals.
- Maintain a pristine dining environment, including setting tables, polishing glassware, and clearing plates promptly.
- Collaborate seamlessly with kitchen and bar staff to ensure timely and accurate service delivery.
- Handle guest inquiries and resolve any service issues with grace and problem-solving skills.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a full-service restaurant setting, preferably in a fine dining or high-volume environment.
- Strong knowledge of wine, spirits, and classic cocktails is a plus but not required.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift trays weighing up to 25 lbs.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on hospitality.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by business volume.
- Must possess a valid Food Handler’s card and, if applicable, a TIPS certification.
- Proficient in using tablet-based POS systems (e.g., Toast, Micros).
