Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and escort them to their tables, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere from the moment they arrive.
- Present menus and answer detailed questions about menu items, ingredients, and preparation methods.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders, relay them to the kitchen/bar team, and ensure timely delivery.
- Upsell specialty drinks and appetizers to enhance the guest's dining experience and increase revenue.
- Process payments accurately using POS systems and handle cash transactions with precision.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including resetting tables efficiently between seatings.
- Handle guest inquiries and complaints with grace, resolving issues to ensure 100% guest satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a fine dining or upscale restaurant setting is preferred but not required for enthusiastic candidates.
- Strong knowledge of wine, beer, and cocktail pairings is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly, approachable demeanor.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Must be available to work weekends and evenings as required by business volume.
