Responsibilities
- Monitor server health and performance using industry-standard tools (Nagios, Zabbix, or similar) to ensure optimal uptime.
- Perform routine system maintenance, including patching, security updates, and scheduled backups.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues in a timely manner to minimize downtime.
- Assist in the deployment, configuration, and provisioning of new virtual servers and cloud instances.
- Document technical procedures and maintain accurate server logs and inventory.
- Collaborate with the wider IT team to troubleshoot network connectivity issues.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent professional experience.
- Familiarity with Linux and Windows Server environments.
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Subnetting).
- Strong problem-solving skills and a high level of attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently in a hybrid or remote environment.
- Current knowledge of IT security best practices.
