We are seeking a highly motivated Part-Time Server Administrator to join our elite IT team in Denver, Colorado. Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will be the gatekeeper of our data integrity. Your primary focus will be on maintaining the health of our local and cloud servers, ensuring seamless data flow for our clients. You will work closely with our Senior Engineers to deploy updates and troubleshoot complex network issues.
Responsibilities
- Monitor server health and performance metrics using industry-standard tools like Prometheus and Grafana.
- Perform routine system backups, patch management, and security updates on Linux and Windows servers.
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues, escalating complex incidents to the Senior Administration team.
- Assist in the configuration and deployment of virtual machines within our cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure).
- Document all server configurations and changes to maintain a clear IT audit trail.
- Ensure compliance with company security protocols and data privacy regulations.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent work experience.
- 1-2 years of experience with server administration or systems engineering.
- Proficiency in command-line interfaces for Linux (RHEL/CentOS) and basic Windows Server administration.
- Familiarity with cloud services (AWS preferred) and virtualization technologies (VMware/Hyper-V).
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a part-time capacity.
- CompTIA A+ or Network+ certification is a plus but not required.
