Responsibilities
- Coordinate logistics for 5-8 monthly events including venue setup, vendor management, and timeline execution
- Act as primary point of contact for clients, ensuring seamless communication from booking to post-event follow-up
- Manage event budgets, track expenses, and negotiate with local suppliers (caterers, musicians, venues)
- Collaborate with marketing team to create promotional materials and social media content
- Conduct site inspections and create detailed run-of-show documents for each event
- Supervise part-time staff and volunteers during event execution
- Maintain inventory of event supplies and equipment
Qualifications
- 2+ years of event coordination or hospitality experience preferred
- Exceptional organizational skills with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities
- Proficiency in event management software (e.g., Cvent, Eventbrite)
- Valid Louisiana driver's license and reliable transportation
- Knowledge of New Orleans venues, vendors, and local regulations
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
- Problem-solving mindset with ability to adapt to last-minute changes
