Responsibilities
- Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes to nursing staff
- Assist patients with daily living activities including mobility and personal care
- Accurately document patient observations in electronic health records (EHR)
- Prepare examination rooms and equipment for medical procedures
- Respond to patient call bells and provide timely assistance
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated care
- Maintain a clean and safe patient environment
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Current BLS/CPR certification (or obtain within 30 days)
- Minimum 6 months healthcare or direct patient care experience
- Ability to stand/walk for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills
- Proficiency with basic medical terminology and EHR systems
- Valid North Carolina driver's license (if transporting patients)
