Responsibilities
- Develop 2026 technology roadmaps identifying disruptive innovations with 3-5 year commercialization horizons
- Analyze emerging tech trends (quantum, bio-AI, neural interfaces) to assess market readiness and competitive positioning
- Lead cross-functional workshops to align engineering, product, and business units on future tech priorities
- Partner with venture capital teams to evaluate and integrate startup innovations into our ecosystem
- Present strategic foresight reports to C-suite executives and board of directors
- Manage $2M+ annual R&D budget allocation for emerging tech exploration
- Mentor junior strategists in futures thinking methodologies and technology assessment frameworks
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy, innovation management, or R&D leadership
- Proven experience developing multi-year technology roadmaps for Fortune 500 companies
- Expertise in at least two emerging domains: quantum computing, synthetic biology, or neurotech
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Futures Studies (PhD preferred)
- Published thought leadership in technology forecasting (white papers, patents, or industry journals)
- Strong proficiency in scenario planning, technology adoption lifecycle models, and patent landscape analysis
- Experience managing distributed global R&D teams across 3+ continents
- Fluency in data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI) and strategic modeling software
