Responsibilities
- Develop and implement 5-year technology roadmaps aligned with market trends and organizational goals
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping and validating emerging technologies (quantum computing, neuromorphic AI, biocomputing)
- Conduct competitive analysis and patent landscape assessments for next-gen innovations
- Forge strategic partnerships with academic institutions and research labs
- Present technology forecasts and investment recommendations to C-suite and board members
- Drive innovation through hackathons and internal R&D initiatives
- Author thought leadership publications on technological disruption
Qualifications
- PhD or Master's in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field with 8+ years experience
- Proven track record in emerging technology commercialization (3+ successful launches)
- Expertise in at least two future-tech domains: quantum systems, synthetic biology, or AGI
- Exceptional strategic planning and scenario modeling capabilities
- Strong network within Silicon Valley research institutions and tech innovation hubs
- Published research or patents in high-impact journals/conferences
- Experience securing multi-million dollar R&D grants and partnerships
