Responsibilities
- Expertly prepare espresso-based drinks, pour-overs, and seasonal specialties while maintaining quality standards
- Engage warmly with customers, providing personalized recommendations and building lasting relationships
- Manage inventory, restock supplies, and uphold cleanliness in all service areas
- Collaborate with the team on menu development and seasonal promotions
- Operate POS systems efficiently and handle cash transactions accurately
- Train new baristas on brewing techniques and customer service excellence
- Participate in community events and local coffee competitions
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year professional barista experience with espresso machine proficiency
- Exceptional customer service skills with a passion for hospitality
- Ability to work flexible shifts including early mornings, weekends, and holidays
- Basic math skills for inventory management and cash handling
- Food safety certification or willingness to obtain
- Strong attention to detail and time management abilities
- Knowledge of coffee origins, brewing methods, and flavor profiles
- Ability to lift 25 lbs and stand for extended periods
