Responsibilities
- Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently using the Point of Sale (POS) system.
- Greet customers with a smile and provide exceptional service to ensure satisfaction.
- Handle cash, credit, and check payments while maintaining strict cash drawer balance.
- Process returns, exchanges, and merchandise refunds according to company policy.
- Keep the checkout area clean, organized, and fully stocked with supplies.
- Assist in maintaining the overall appearance of the sales floor.
- Answer customer inquiries and direct them to the appropriate departments.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED is preferred.
- Previous experience in retail or cashier roles is a plus but not mandatory.
- Strong basic math skills and the ability to handle money accurately.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand for long periods and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Proficiency with technology and a willingness to learn new POS systems.
