Responsibilities
- Expertly prepare and serve specialty coffee drinks following artisanal recipes
- Engage warmly with customers, providing personalized recommendations
- Maintain spotless cleanliness of coffee stations and customer areas
- Operate POS systems and handle cash transactions accurately
- Collaborate with team to optimize workflow during peak hours
- Source and present locally sourced pastries and snacks
- Participate in regular coffee tastings and skill development
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year professional barista experience
- Deep knowledge of coffee brewing techniques (pour-over, espresso, etc.)
- Exceptional customer service with a warm, approachable demeanor
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-volume environments
- Basic math skills for cash handling and inventory
- Flexible availability including mornings, weekends, and holidays
- Passion for sustainable coffee practices and local community
- Food Handler's Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
