Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including espresso drinks, teas, and cold brews, according to strict quality standards.
- Operate and maintain espresso machines, grinders, and other brewing equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Greet customers warmly, take orders accurately, and provide recommendations to enhance the customer experience.
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and sanitized at all times, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
- Handle cash and credit transactions accurately and efficiently using the point-of-sale system.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours.
- Upsell pastries and merchandise to increase sales and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; prior barista experience is a plus but not mandatory for enthusiastic candidates.
- Strong knowledge of coffee brewing methods, latte art, and proper espresso extraction is preferred.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and friendly.
- Ability to stand and work on your feet for extended periods (up to 6-8 hours).
- Basic math skills for handling transactions and inventory counts.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
