Responsibilities
- Expertly prepare and serve specialty coffee beverages using provided high-end espresso machines
- Master seasonal menu items and daily specials while maintaining quality standards
- Engage customers with warm, knowledgeable service about coffee origins and brewing techniques
- Operate and maintain provided commercial coffee equipment (cleaning, calibration)
- Collaborate with team to create inviting café atmosphere through artful presentation
- Manage inventory of provided coffee beans, syrups, and supplies
- Uphold strict hygiene protocols for all provided equipment and workspace
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year professional barista experience with espresso machines
- Deep knowledge of coffee brewing methods, bean varieties, and flavor profiles
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments while maintaining quality
- Exceptional customer service skills with a passion for coffee education
- Strong teamwork and communication abilities in collaborative settings
- Flexible availability including early mornings, weekends, and holidays
- Basic math skills for cash handling and inventory management
- Food safety certification preferred (training provided if needed)
