Responsibilities
- Expertly prepare and serve specialty coffee drinks including espresso, lattes, and pour-overs according to SCAA standards
- Engage warmly with customers, personalize orders, and provide detailed product knowledge
- Maintain pristine cleanliness and organization of all coffee stations and service areas
- Operate POS systems with accuracy and efficiency during peak hours
- Contribute to inventory management and restocking of coffee beans and supplies
- Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless service during rushes
- Adhere to all health, safety, and sanitation protocols
Qualifications
- Minimum 6 months of professional barista experience required
- Extensive knowledge of coffee varieties, brewing methods, and flavor profiles
- Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments while maintaining quality
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to consistency
- Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Basic math skills for handling cash and POS transactions
- Food Handler's Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
