Shape tomorrow's technological landscape as Horizon Dynamics' first-ever AI Futurist Strategist. We're seeking a visionary leader to architect our 2026+ innovation roadmap, bridging quantum computing, synthetic biology, and decentralized AI systems. You'll drive R&D initiatives while mentoring cross-functional teams in our Austin-based FutureLab. This hybrid role requires 3 days/month on-site at our downtown campus.
What You'll Accomplish:
Lead development of our 'Decade Horizons' framework, translating emerging tech trends into commercial opportunities. Collaborate with MIT and Stanford research labs to prototype next-gen neural interfaces. Own the strategic integration of ethical AI governance into all product lifecycles.
Responsibilities
- Architect 5-year tech innovation roadmap with quarterly milestone reviews
- Partner with quantum computing teams to optimize AI training algorithms
- Lead biocompatible AI hardware prototyping in wet-lab environments
- Develop patent-pending 'Temporal Learning' methodologies
- Mentor 12-person multidisciplinary innovation squad
- Present annual 'State of the Future' keynote at industry conferences
- Oversee $5M annual R&D budget allocation across frontier tech domains
Qualifications
- PhD in Computational Neuroscience or Quantum Machine Learning
- 10+ years in AI R&D with 5+ years strategic planning experience
- Published research in Nature/Science on emergent AI behaviors
- Proficiency in TensorFlow Quantum and PyTorch 2.0+ frameworks
- Expertise in ethical AI governance frameworks (EU AI Act, NIST RMF)
- Track record of commercializing breakthrough technologies
- Fluency in Mandarin and Spanish for global stakeholder engagement
