Responsibilities
- Design and implement comprehensive AI governance frameworks for autonomous systems and generative AI platforms
- Lead cross-functional ethics task forces including engineers, legal, and social scientists
- Develop auditable bias detection protocols and transparency standards for AI decision-making
- Create impact assessment methodologies for AI deployments in regulated industries
- Represent the company in global AI ethics forums and policy discussions
- Establish whistleblower channels and incident response protocols for AI failures
- Mentor ethics champions across engineering teams to embed responsible practices
Qualifications
- PhD in Computer Science, Ethics, Philosophy, or related field with 8+ years AI governance experience
- Published research on AI alignment, fairness metrics, or existential risk mitigation
- Proven track record of scaling ethics programs in Fortune 500 tech companies
- Expertise in regulatory landscapes (EU AI Act, NIST AI RMF, ISO/IEC 42001)
- Fluency in technical AI concepts and ability to translate ethics to engineering requirements
- Experience testifying before legislative bodies or industry coalitions
- Strong network with global AI ethics research institutions and policy bodies
