Responsibilities
- Walk & Exercise: Safely walk dogs of various sizes and breeds for 30-60 minutes, ensuring they receive adequate physical exercise and mental stimulation.
- Feeding & Hydration: Provide fresh water and meals according to each pet's specific dietary requirements and schedule.
- Poop Patrol: Always carry waste bags and promptly clean up after dogs during walks to maintain public hygiene.
- Observation: Monitor the health and behavior of the dogs during walks, reporting any signs of illness or injury immediately to the owner.
- Communication: Send daily updates, photos, and logs to pet owners via our app to keep them informed about their pet's well-being.
- Home Safety: Secure gates and homes before and after visits to ensure no pets are left behind and property security is maintained.
- Administration: Maintain accurate records of services performed and handle payments securely.
Qualifications
- Experience: Previous experience as a professional dog walker or pet sitter is preferred but not mandatory; passion is key.
- Reliability: Must be punctual, trustworthy, and able to maintain a consistent schedule.
- Physical Fitness: Must be able to walk long distances and handle dogs of various sizes.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for client updates.
- License: Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle are required.
- Background: Must pass a background check and drug screening.
- First Aid: Basic knowledge of pet first aid is a plus.
