Responsibilities
- Safely walk dogs of various sizes and breeds in residential areas and parks
- Provide fresh water, administer treats, and maintain detailed pet journals
- Ensure all pets are securely leashed and properly supervised during walks
- Clean up waste responsibly and maintain clean equipment
- Report pet health or behavior concerns to pet parents promptly
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and emergency procedures
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year professional dog walking or pet care experience
- Valid Ohio driver's license and reliable transportation
- Current pet first aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Excellent communication skills for client interactions
- Physical ability to handle dogs up to 80 lbs in all weather
- Must pass background check and drug screening
- Strong time management and punctuality
