Responsibilities
- Greet and seat guests with a warm, welcoming demeanor, ensuring high standards of hospitality immediately upon arrival.
- Present menus and guide guests through the culinary offerings, answering questions with knowledge and enthusiasm.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using the Point of Sale (POS) system and relay them to the kitchen staff.
- Deliver orders promptly, ensuring food quality and temperature are maintained before serving.
- Anticipate guest needs by refilling drinks and clearing tables discreetly to ensure a seamless dining experience.
- Process payments accurately and efficiently at the end of the service.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including wiping tables and resetting stations for the next service.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a server in a fine dining or upscale restaurant is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of food safety and alcohol service regulations (TABC certification preferred).
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to multitask under pressure.
- A friendly, outgoing personality with a "customer-first" attitude.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (4-6 hours per shift).
- Availability to work weekends, holidays, and evenings as required.
- Proficiency with POS systems (e.g., Micros, Toast, OpenTable).
